A NEW ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY!!

I am happy to say I now have a cat! A beautiful silver, black and gray stripped Tabby with vibrant green eyes. She is approximately 2 years old and I got her from our local Vet Assistant, Chris...all thanks to our Hospice volunteer, Kate. I had told her I really missed my sweet Chewchy, my Maltese that you may remember died last year, January 12 and she checked around with those she knew to help me. No other pet could ever replace Chewchy but I was very lonely and thought it best to get a cat that I could keep indoors. She is so sweet and faithful to sleep right on me or near me every night. She has been a loving companion for Micah too as he recovers from surgery. Technically, we have not named her. I keep waiting for Micah to do it and he insists that I do it, but whenever I need to find her, in a high pitched voice I say, "Boop Boop" and she comes running. Thank you Lord for our new addition and bless Kate and Chris for helping me. BTW, Kate also got me some books about cats from the library and I have learned so many new things. Sure enough, when she first entered the house, she seemed happy and noticed her food and water bowl right away but when she stepped into the litter box OH MY GOODNESS she got so angry. She began to hiss and howl and her tail was whipping back and forth. She obviously hated the litter. I quickly checked The Cat Bible. Luckily, I had purchased more than one kind of litter and went with The World's Best Litter. It is made out of corn, is 99% dust free and flushable (though I still use the trash can). Once I switched out the clumpable clay with World's Best, she became pleasant once again. I presume the size of the clay was larger than what she was used to and though the World's Best is yellow, the particles were smaller which probably reminded her of the clay she was originally used to. Whew!!! The Cat Bible is a phenomenal book.

2 Torn Areas Were Found in Micah's Knee Instead of One

Micah is doing well! Getting around just fine on the crutches and though on pain meds, is experiencing little to no pain at this time. Thank you so much for your concern and prayers. We received soooo many e-mails, calls and texts. Here's to you, Dr. David Gurd, and your entire team!!! I am so thankful to Cleveland Clinic and just so thankful to God for being the GREAT PHYSICIAN. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day everyone.

Prayers Needed...Micah has knee surgery in the morning

Well what a blessing it is at this time to have insurance! Amazingly, this is the first time one of my sweet children will enter the hospital for a procedure. I thank the Heavenly Father so much for keeping each one of them all these years. Micah was injured during a basketball game several weeks ago and will be experiencing anesthesia for the first time. For some reason that thought sent somewhat of a chill through my body. I have been through all sorts of procedures...had some near death experiences but each and every time, I held onto the Lord's unchanging hand and He delivered me. For a moment, I wished my son did not have to experience this but on the other hand I had to remember God did not give us the spirit of fear. I know He will do the same for my child as He has done for me. Please Lord, grant Micah peace, give wisdom and direction to the doctors, let Your will be done Father. We trust You and we thank You. In the precious Name of Jesus. Amen.
